FC Dallas recognized goalkeeper Maarten Paes with a special commemorative jersey to celebrate his 100th MLS start. The Dutch shot-stopper, who switched his jersey number from 30 to 1 for the 2025 season, was presented with the framed memento by club president Dan Hunt before kickoff at Toyota Stadium.

The goalkeeper also gave a speech which was posted across social media.

“Thank you,” Paees said upon receiving the shirt. “Thank you for especially for the guys who have been here since four, three years (ago). Well, finally a clean sheet after nine games, we had like one goal against this lot so I’m very happy with this. Let’s keep this as the standard in terms of commitment, home and away. I’m just very proud to be part of this club, be part of this family and I love y’all.”
