Manchester United were dealt further fitness woes when Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof both went off injured in Saturday's match against Brentford.

Varane went off with an apparent ankle injury early in the second half before Lindelof was replaced by Lisandro Martinez with another issue. The news comes as a big concern as United are already without Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Anthony Martial in what has been an injury-plagued campaign. However, Varane told journalist Steven Railston that his injury is "not too bad".

It was a frustrating day for United, who, besides losing two players, dropped two points at Brentford. The Red Devils looked guaranteed to win the game when Mason Mount scored in stoppage time of the second half, but Kristoffer Ajer popped up with an even later goal to seal a 1-1 draw.
