Per i News, Liverpool have been locked in talks with the Cherries over a deal to sign Kerkez but have yet to agree a fee for the left-back. The 21-year-old is valued at £45 million ($61m) and the Cherries are refusing to budge on that valuation. Liverpool have been working on a deal to sign the star since January but there remain a number of obstacles to overcome, per the report.

Those close to Kerkez are said to believe that he will eventually move to Anfield but the deal is now dragging on. Kerkez's valuation, and Bournemouth's insistence on sticking to it, is partly driven by the fact that they have sold Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid, receiving a fee of £50m ($66m) in the process.

Kerkez moved to Bournemouth for an undisclosed fee in July of 2023 from AZ Alkmaar, but reports suggest he cost around £18m ($24m), so Bournemouth are poised to make a profit on the Hungary international.
